The Opticianry Skills Laboratory Assistant provides in-person support for the operation of the Opticianry Program laboratories, clinical, and instructional spaces. This position is responsible for preparing clinical activities, assembling, disassembly, and distribution of skills kits for distance-learning students, routine maintenance of optical equipment, laboratory and clinical inventory management, supporting faculty and students during laboratory sessions, and ensuring a safe, organized, and effective learning environment. The position requires regular on-campus attendance to support hands-on instruction, laboratory and clinical operations, and the preparation of materials for students enrolled in both face-to-face and distance education courses.
