Job summary

Evolve Adolescent Behavioral Health in the San Fernando Valley is seeking reliable Overnight Residential Counselors to support teens in 6-bed residential centers. The role covers 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM shifts, supervising up to six adolescents during their 45–60 day stay and staying awake throughout the night.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• College coursework or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must be able to stay awake all night.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 6-9 months of experience working with teens with mental health or substance abuse.
• 6-9 months of experience in an adolescent group home or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Remain awake, alert, and engaged throughout the full overnight shift (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
• Ensure clients remain in their rooms overnight.
• Conduct wellness checks on clients every 15 minutes.
• Complete regular walkthroughs of the facility, including basic safety and maintenance checks.
• Assist with inventory checks and administrative tasks.
• Accurately document all shift activity in electronic medical records.
• Support overall cleanliness and upkeep of the facility during the overnight shift.
