NEWS CENTER Maine (WCSH & WLBZ), in beautiful downtown Portland, is looking for an engaging and enterprising night side Photojournalist. In this full-time position you will:

Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit stories for broadcast and stream.
• You will also edit a mobile short each shift.
• The right person has a passion for breaking news, storm coverage, and meaningful daily storytelling. Helping reporters with LIVE shots is part of the routine.
• Our photojournalists are also encouraged to shoot and edit natural sound PKGs on their own.
• The right person understands what takes to make great visual stories.
• A team first attitude is a must.
• A keen eye for creative LIVE shots and production is expected.
• Calm and cool under deadline pressure is expected.

In short, we are looking for an aggressive photojournalist who wants to be the best storyteller in Maine.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism or similar field
• 1-3 years' experience in videography, editing, and posting to the internet
• Active on Twitter, FB, Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok

Pay Range

$23.08 - $24.04 USD
