Job summary

KTHV-TV, a TEGNA-owned CBS affiliate in Little Rock, Arkansas, seeks a full-time Photographer/Editor with a passion for storytelling across TV, digital, and social platforms.

You will operate live news gathering tools, edit for newscasts and digital platforms, and collaborate closely with producers, reporters, and the digital team. Availability for early mornings, nights, and weekends is required.

KTHV-TV, the TEGNA-owned CBS in Little Rock, Arkansas, is looking for a full-time Photographer/Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate is proficient at creating captivating and shareable content for television, social media, and mobile platforms. They are proficient with live news gathering tools and can participate in live performance on air and on live streaming when necessary. You must be a self-starter who is technologically savvy and can work under tight deadlines. We are looking for individuals who possess a keen artistic eye, a deep understanding of editing and photography techniques, and a passion for storytelling.

Responsibilities:

• Use editing tools to create content for Newscast and Digital platforms.
• Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media (viewer pictures, webcam interviews, etc.) to enhance stories.
• Work closely with news producers, reporters, photojournalists and the digital team.

Requirements:

• Current driver’s license and ability to operate news gathering vehicle to and from various locations
• Knowledge of non-linear editing systems using Edius, Premiere, and Photoshop
• Interest in broadcast and digital news content
• Organizational skills and the ability to work under deadline pressure
• Must be deadline-oriented, maintaining quality while staying on tight schedules
• Must be able to work early mornings, nights and weekends
