Job summary

Altium Packaging is hiring an entry-level Production Packaging Associate at our Sherman, TX facility. The role focuses on proper packaging of materials, operating packaging equipment, and handling loading and moving of supplies while following Good Manufacturing Practices.

You will work 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality, safety, and teamwork. Training will be provided within 90 days of hire date to ensure competency.

Qualifications

• Basic math and numeracy skills required.
• Ability to use basic computer applications.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates safe work practices by PPE and safety policies.
• Maintains punctuality and adheres to schedule.
• Works as a team player with others.
• Follows General Manufacturing Policies.
• Keeps work area neat and organized.
• Monitors conveyors and clears bottle jams.
• Picks up dropped bottles and places into bins.
• Places discarded bottles into grinder, if applicable.
• Inspects the quality of bottles during production, packaging, and labeling.
• Performs bottle inspections, such as drop tests.
• Escalates bottle abnormalities and quality issues.
• Monitors packaging material levels and replenishes as needed.
• Ensures correct labeling and packaging per customer requirements.
• Moves finished goods to designated area.
• Setups and organizes workstations; maintains inventory for shift transitions.
• Overtime may be required.
