Job summary

Preferred Hospital Leasing Junction Inc. in Texas seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support the registered nurse in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within department policies and scope of practice.

You will provide direct nursing care, perform focused assessments, assist with care plans, administer medications, and educate patients under supervision, coordinating with hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum vocational nursing license active.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS strongly recommended.
• At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Strong medical terminology knowledge.
• Ability to protect patient PHI and maintain confidentiality.
• Familiarity with state nursing rules and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Conduct focused patient assessments after RN-led evaluations.
• Contribute to planning and implementation of nursing care.
• Help develop and modify ongoing care plans.
• Communicate with patients, families, and hospital staff about care.
• Assist in health teaching for patients and families under RN direction.
• Share responsibility for planning and evaluating nursing care.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications per policy.
• Participate in emergency situations as needed.
• Maintain ongoing communication with RN regarding patient status.
