Job summary

Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL is seeking a Public Safety Officer to join its security team on a per diem basis. You will perform access control, patrols, and rapid response to incidents, safeguarding patients, staff, and visitors while upholding hospital policies.

State driver’s license required at hire; valid DMV H6 report.

Responsibilities

Access Control and Patrols: monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; conduct interior and exterior patrols.
Emergency Response: respond to codes and assist with crowd control, evacuation when needed.
De-escalation and Conflict Management: intervene to calm agitated individuals with clinical staff support.
Patient and Visitor Assistance: escort and assist with directions, lost-and-found or property issues.
Incident Documentation: write detailed reports and report findings to supervisors or risk management.
