Job summary

US 1 Shorthaul is seeking a Lead Driver in Elsmere, KY for night shifts. This full-time, hourly position offers home daily schedules and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will operate in a yard setting, move trailers, conduct inspections, and ensure safety standards are met. Strong truck backing skills and English proficiency are required. CDL A is mandatory, and background/drug screens apply.

Qualifications

• Experience backing 48' to 53' trailers, including docking and tight spaces.
• Must pass pre-hire background and drug test.
• No felonies in past 7 years and no prior SAP program involvement.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers in and out of dock with yard goats.
• Drop and hook responsibilities.
• Perform yard audits at end of shift.
• Pre- and post-trip inspections and reports on truck condition.
• Adhere to safety-sensitive guidelines in yard.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
