Job summary

Penn Medicine, Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA, seeks a Radiology Technologist for full-time night shifts. You will perform radiographic and fluoroscopic exams, ensure proper patient care and safety, and support on-call duties across site locations.

Minimum qualifications include AMA-approved radiologic technology education, ARRT certification, and CPR. Sign-on bonus up to $5,000 prorated applies with a 2-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiological Technology School.
• Certification in Radiological Technology, issued by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists: within 18 months of placement if hired before 2024-01-01; within 12 months if hired as of 2024-01-01.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license may be required (based upon position assignment)

Responsibilities

• Performs all routine diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures per LG protocols, positioning, and protection devices.
• Receives requests, checks for special instructions from requesting physicians and consults with Radiologists as necessary.
• Greets patients, confirms identifications, and explains procedures to patient and family.
• Operates the hospital computer system and documents information in the EMR.
• Completes examination, billing procedures, and Universal Protocol paperwork.
• Utilizes computer equipment including EHR, email, and intranet.
• May travel to various site locations as required.
• Conducts visual safety inspections and records QC activities.
• Maintains inventory and rotates stock; participates in education of Radiology students.
• Participates in on-call responsibilities for the position.
• Performs patient and control testing on unit-specific Point of Care testing according to Lab regulatory standards.
