Job summary

Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC is seeking an X-Ray Technologist for night shifts Monday-Thursday, 8:30p-7:00a. ARRT certification and BLS are required, with an AMA Accredited Radiology Program or equivalent education. PACS experience preferred.

Responsibilities include patient safety during radiographic and fluoroscopic exams, reviewing orders, maintaining privacy, and assisting with teaching radiology students and residents. On-site position.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required; BLS certification preferred.
• Minimum education: AMA Accredited Radiology Program or equivalent.
• Experience: 1–3 years preferred.
• Ability to work independently under supervision and follow radiology protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic exams with patient safety as priority.
• Review patient history and clinical information for imaging orders.
• Ensure imaging orders are complete and medically necessary.
• Assess contraindications and patient readiness for procedures.
• Communicate clearly with patients to obtain cooperation and comfort.
• Contribute to daily imaging department operations and student training.
