Dewey’s Bakery, Inc. is seeking a Wirecut Operator for the 3rd shift in Winston-Salem, NC. The role involves operating the wire-cut machine and related packaging equipment, with overtime including weekends.

The candidate will cross-train with the Packaging Machine Operator and contribute to efficient production in a bakery setting. Our established team, dating back to 1930, emphasizes quality, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year related experience as a machine operator preferred.
• 1 year experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operation instructions and procedures.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follows GMP rules and other policies, SOPs.
• Understands operation of assigned production equipment.
• Reports food safety and quality problems to appropriate personnel.
• Performs adjustments to achieve proper quality specifications.
• Performs set-up, start-up and shut-down procedures.
• Completes documentation and maintains a clean, safe work environment.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
