Job summary

Dewey’s Bakery, Inc. in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Wirecut Machine Operator for the 2nd shift (1:45 PM–10:15 PM). You will operate wirecut equipment and related machinery, perform set-ups, start-ups, and shutdowns, and ensure GMP compliance while producing high-quality products.

This role offers cross-training with the Packaging Machine Operator, overtime including weekends, and the opportunity to contribute to a safe, efficient production environment with attention to quality specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred 1 year related experience or training as a machine operator.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operation instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and follow procedures.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow GMP rules and SOPs.
• Understand operation of production equipment.
• Report food safety and quality issues.
• Perform setup, start-up, and shutdown procedures.
• Complete documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team and management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
