Job summary

Merck is seeking a Night Shift Watch Officer to maintain real-time situational awareness and threat monitoring in our Resiliency Center. You will lead incident triage, information coordination, and crisis escalation during the night shift, coordinating with cross-functional partners to protect people, operations, and assets.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in GSOC or similar fast-paced monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in GSOC, intelligence watch floor, emergency dispatch, or similar fast-paced monitoring environment.
• Experience using situational awareness and threat intelligence platforms.

Responsibilities

• Conduct real-time monitoring of global events to identify risks.
• Perform initial triage, impact assessment, and rapid escalation of incidents.
• Draft incident reports, travel security advisories, and daily intelligence summaries.
• Serve as primary contact for employee assistance and travel risk inquiries during night shift.
• Coordinate with Day Shift during handovers to ensure continuity.
