Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse is seeking a Warehouse Worker in Columbus, OH to support picking, packing, shipping, and receiving. You will help ensure orders are accurately assembled and loaded for delivery, working from stock and documentation to meet daily productivity targets.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and the ability to operate an electric pallet jack and stand-up forklift. A safety-conscious approach and clear communication with team members are essential for success.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved.
• Move materials from receiving or production to storage or other areas.
• Sorts and breaks down product by SKU, quantity and product type.
• Able to use electric pallet jack and stand-up forklift.
• Occasionally ascend 25 ft on cherry picker in a safety harness.
• Communicate with Receivers, Drivers, Driver Check-in, & Forklift Operators.
• Adhere to safety practices for truck and trailer pull process.
• Sort and store goods in designated warehouse areas.
• Handle company-issued PPE and equipment; report safety concerns promptly.
• Assemble customer orders and prepare for shipping; label pallets.
• Open containers when necessary.

Position Summary

As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for providing warehouse support including picking, packing, assembly, sorting, shipping, and receiving of orders to meet the facility’s productivity and quality goals within the establishment.

What you’ll do

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Moves materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and breaks down product by SKU, quantity and product type.
• Ability to use electric pallet jack as well as stand-up forklift is a must.
• Required to frequently ascend 25ft on cherry picker in a safety harness.
• Effectively communicate with Receivers, Drivers, Driver Check-in, & Forklift Operators
• Adhering to proper safety practices for truck and trailer pull process on a daily basis.
• Sorts and stores goods in designated areas of the warehouse.
• Responsible for the proper handling of all company issued equipment, including PPE, voice equipment etc.
• Responsible for reporting all safety concerns in the work environment on timely basis.Must wear company issued uniform.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or moves orders to loading dock to prepare for shipping.
• Label pallets with identifying information when instructed.
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers when necessary.

About you

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
