Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse is hiring a Warehouse Worker to perform picking, packing, assembly, sorting, shipping, and receiving to meet productivity and quality goals in our facility.

You will move items between receiving, storage, and loading areas, use forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensure accurate labeling and documentation. This role requires basic education and minimal prior experience and offers strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Moves materials from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and breaks down product by SKU, quantity, and product type.
• Operate electric pallet jack and stand-up forklift as required.
• Communicate effectively with Receivers, Drivers, Driver Check-in, and Forklift Operators.
• Adhere to safety practices for truck and trailer pull processes daily.
• Sort and store goods in designated warehouse areas.
• Report safety concerns in the work environment promptly.
• Wear company-issued uniform.
• Assemble customer orders and prepare them for shipping on pallets or loading dock.
• Label pallets with identifying information as instructed.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers when needed.
• Record amounts of materials received or distributed.

Position Summary

As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for providing warehouse support including picking, packing, assembly, sorting, shipping, and receiving of orders to meet the facility’s productivity and quality goals within the establishment.

What you’ll do

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Moves materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and breaks down product by SKU, quantity, and product type.
• Ability to use electric pallet jack as well as stand‑up forklift is a must.
• Effectively communicate with Receivers, Drivers, Driver Check-in, & Forklift Operators
• Adhering to proper safety practices for truck and trailer pull process on a daily basis.
• Sorts and stores goods in designated areas of the warehouse.
• Responsible for the proper handling of all company issued equipment, including PPE, voice equipment etc.
• Responsible for reporting all safety concerns in the work environment on timely basis.
• Must wear company issued uniform.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or moves orders to loading dock to prepare for shipping.
• Label pallets with identifying information when instructed.
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers when necessary.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.

About you

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
