Job summary

The Chefs’ Warehouse is hiring a Warehouse Worker to support picking, packing, assembly, sorting, shipping, and receiving to meet productivity and quality goals. The role involves operating an electric pallet jack and stand-up forklift, and requires safety-mindedness and reliability.

Schedule is Sunday to Friday, 7:00 PM to 3:30 AM. High school diploma or GED and 1–3 months related experience preferred, with incentives including weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read schedules and orders to determine items to move or assemble.
• Move materials from receiving to storage or other areas.
• Sort products by SKU, quantity, and type.
• Operate electric pallet jack and stand-up forklift as required.
• Climb up to 25 ft on cherry picker with safety harness.
• Communicate with Receivers, Drivers, and Forklift Operators.
• Follow safety procedures for truck and trailer operations.
• Store goods in designated warehouse areas.
• Handle company equipment and PPE properly.
• Report safety concerns in a timely manner.
• Wear the company-issued uniform.
• Assemble customer orders and prepare pallets for shipping.

Position Summary

As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for providing warehouse support including picking, packing, assembly, sorting, shipping, and receiving of orders to meet the facility’s productivity and quality goals within the establishment.

Schedule

Sunday to Friday - 7:00 PM - 3:30 AM

What you’ll do

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Moves materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and breaks down product by SKU, quantity and product type.
• Ability to use electric pallet jack as well as stand-up forklift is a must.
• Required to frequently ascend 25ft on cherry picker in a safety harness.
• Effectively communicate with Receivers, Drivers, Driver Check-in, & Forklift Operators
• Adhering to proper safety practices for truck and trailer pull process on a daily basis.
• Sorts and stores goods in designated areas of the warehouse.
• Responsible for the proper handling of all company issued equipment, including PPE, voice equipment etc.
• Responsible for reporting all safety concerns in the work environment on timely basis.
• Must wear company issued uniform.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or moves orders to loading dock to prepare for shipping.
• Label pallets with identifying information when instructed.
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers when necessary.

About you

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
