Job summary

Sid Wainer & Son seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to plan, direct and coordinate warehouse operations, ensuring performance, productivity and profitability across the department. The role supports product launches, regulatory compliance and efficient delivery of finished goods to customers.

The ideal candidate has a four-year degree or 5+ years of high-level management experience with P&L responsibility, plus knowledge of USDA/FDA regulations and produce/food distribution experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university)
• In lieu of degree, minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Minimum five years related experience in a high level management position with P&L responsibility
• Produce and/or food distribution experience required
• Working knowledge of USDA & FDA compliance

Responsibilities

• Oversees the planning, warehousing and control of materials from forecasted replenishment to finished goods and delivery to customers
• Maintains compliance with USDA and FDA regulations
• Participates in product planning to ensure timely acquisition of materials for launches
• Oversees all warehouse operations to maximize efficiency and accuracy
• Manages warehouse operations to improve delivery timeliness and accuracy of finished goods
• Executes special projects in a timely manner
• Assists with establishing annual goals aligned with corporate objectives
• Hires and mentors staff and builds strong teams
• Collaborates with all levels of the organization as a member of the Executive Management Team

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor, under the supervision of the Manager and/or Director, plans, directs and coordinates the operations of the organization. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies.

What you’ll do:

• Oversees the activities of all functions involved in the planning, warehousing and control of materials -- from the development of forecasted replenishment needs to the delivery of the product into finished goods inventory and delivery of products to customers
• Maintains compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement, including USDA and FDA regulations
• Participates in existing and new product planning processes to ensure timely acquisition of materials to support product launches
• Oversight of all warehouse operations
• Manages warehouse operations to maximize efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy of delivery of finished goods to customers
• Executes special projects in a timely manner.
• Assists with establishing annual goals and objectives, in alignment with corporate objectives.
• Hires candidates, coaches and mentors effectively, and builds strong teams
• Collaborates easily with all levels of the organization and serves and contributes as a member of the organization’s Executive Management Team
