Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate I - Nights in Romulus, MI to assist with secure inventory storage and material flow. You will help with storage, shipping, receiving, and physical counts, supporting a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Under close supervision, you will perform essential duties with attention to safety and accuracy, ensuring compliance with internal controls and quality standards across shifts and operations.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights/weekends if needed.
• Forklift certification preferred; OSHA knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare goods and materials to be shipped with packing slips.
• Perform basic inventory maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures (e.g., dock doors locked, wheel chocks).
• Process material stock requests, orders and returns using inventory/billing systems.
• Handle defective, discontinued or recalled goods; destroy returned goods as appropriate.
• Perform check-ins and check-outs; verify order completeness and inspect for damage.
• Review daily processing of goods received and returns; ensure timely processing.
• Receive, issue and store supplies and equipment; inspect for accuracy and condition.
