Job summary

US Foods is seeking Warehouse Team Members to safely select orders and build palletized shipments in a multi-temperature warehouse environment. The base pay starts around $20.49 per hour with incentives, with top performers earning up to $34 per hour.

Schedules are Monday through Friday, with Saturday and another day off during the week; overtime and weekend work may be required. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Must read and communicate in English to attend trainings, hold conversations, read labels and enter information on reports.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Thursday; weekends/holidays required at times.
• Recent experience in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred.
• Experience selecting large-scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders; build and wrap pallets to meet weekly productivity and accuracy standards.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet jack.
• Move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment.
• Validate correct product is selected and undamaged.
• Deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wrap palletized orders.
• Team to clear aisles, remove empty pallets, and return pallet jacks to charging area.

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet
• Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free
• Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required

What You Bring to the Table

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will required
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $19/hr and $24hr.

As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation, incentive compensation based on productivity and quality, freezer premium.
