Your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently select and prepare customer orders, ensuring that all products are accurately selected and palletized in a timely manner. **Key Responsibilities** * **Selecting:**Safely and accurately select customer orders, confirming that selected products are correct and undamaged.* **Palletizing:**Construct and wrap pallets to meet weekly productivity and accuracy standards.* **Operation:**Conduct pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate electric pallet jacks.* **Fulfillment:**Transfer products from racks to pallets using order selecting software.* **Staging:**Transport products to the designated dock area and shrink-wrap palletized orders.* **Collaborate:**Work with the team to maintain clean and safe aisles and return equipment to the charging area.* **Adaptability:** All other duties assigned by management. **Physical Requirements** * Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from less than 0 degrees to over 100 degrees required.* Lift, carry, push, pull, and lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required.* Continuously stand, grasp objects & manipulate objects; occasionally sit; frequently walk, drive pallet jack, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, & use manual dexterity. **Qualifications** * Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed.* Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday. At times weekends and holidays are required.* Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.* Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.* Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred. **About US FOODS** Click here to learn more!
