US Foods is seeking a Night Warehouse Selector (Part-Time) in La Mirada, CA. You will safely select and palletize customer orders, using order selecting software and electric pallet jacks, while maintaining productivity and safety standards.

Responsibilities include staging, transferring to docks, keeping aisles clean, and collaborating with teammates to meet weekly goals. This role requires physical endurance and night shifts, Sunday through Thursday, with potential weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate in English to attend trainings, hold conversations, read labels, and enter information on reports.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday, with weekends/holidays as needed.
• Recent experience in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders.
• Palletize and wrap pallets to meet weekly productivity and accuracy standards.
• Operate pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate electric pallet jacks.
• Transfer products from racks to pallets using order selecting software.
• Stage: transport products to the designated dock area and shrink-wrap palletized orders.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain clean aisles and return equipment to charging area.
• Adaptability: perform other duties as assigned by management.

Your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently select and prepare customer orders, ensuring that all products are accurately selected and palletized in a timely manner.Key ResponsibilitiesSelecting: Safely and accurately select customer orders. confirming that selected products are correct and undamaged.Palletizing: Construct and wrap pallets to meet weekly productivity and accuracy standards.Operation: Conduct pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate electric pallet jacks. Maintain clean and safe aisles and return equipment to the charging area.Fulfillment: Transfer products from racks to pallets using order selecting software.Staging: Transport products to the designated dock area and shrink-wrap palletized orders.Collaborate: Work with the team to maintain clean and safe aisles and return equipment to the charging area.Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.Physical RequirementsComfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from less than 0 degrees to over 100 degrees required.Lift, carry, push, pull, and lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required.Continuously stand, grasp objects & manipulate objects; occasionally sit; frequently walk, drive pallet jack, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, & use manual dexterity.QualificationsMust be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed.Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will be required.Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred.About US FOODSClick here to learn more!Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds).
