Job summary

US FOODS Night Warehouse Selector position in Flowood, MS offers a starting hourly rate of $17.90 with incentive pay. Work schedule Sunday-Thursday, 4pm to completion and 6pm to completion. Overtime, weekends, and holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders and build pallets for weekly productivity and accuracy.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet jack.
• Move products from racks to pallets as directed by order selecting software and equipment.
• Verify correct product is selected and is damage-free; deliver pallets to the correct dock area and shrink-wrap as needed.
• Team to clear aisles, remove debris, and return pallet jacks to charging area.

Main Ingredients of the Job

As a US FOODS® Night Warehouse Selector you will be responsible for preparing customer orders that grow our business, instilling and reinforcing safety above all else.

We TEAM UP to deliver exact and damage-free orders. Your efforts as a Night Warehouse Selecto r are the foundation that defines US FOODS® success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service.

Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy

Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet

Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment

Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free

Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders

Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area

What You Bring to the Table

Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed

Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Thursday.

At times weekends and holidays will be required

Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred

Lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.

Experience selecting large-scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred

Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred

Physical Requirements

Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required

Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $17.90 and $21.65.

As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation and temperature differentials.
