Job summary

Performance Food Group in Alabama is seeking a Night Shift Sanitation/Warehouse associate to maintain a clean, safe workplace. The role runs 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday, with starting pay of $15/hour.

You will support sanitation across dry, cooler and freezer areas and may operate a pallet jack. Required is a High School Diploma or GED and 6+ months of sanitation or janitorial work experience, plus the ability to pass post offer drug test and background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months sanitation, cleaning or janitorial work experience.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pallet jack experience preferred (warehouse environment).

Responsibilities

• Completes all work in line with health and safety policies.
• Reports unsafe conditions to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash pickup.
• Handles cleaning chemicals as directed by hazmat guidelines.
• Completes required Pure Safety training modules.
• May operate pallet jack to transport refuse to proper receptacles.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
