Job summary

Morrison Express in Compton, CA is seeking a warehouse associate to support daily shipment activities. You will load/unload cargo, inspect deliveries for damages, and verify paperwork while maintaining security and safety standards.

The role requires forklift certification and experience with WMS, RF scanners, and data entry. Candidates should be able to work Sundays through Thursdays, from 9:00 pm to 5:30 am, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• 1 year of warehouse experience; freight forwarder experience preferred.
• Must be able to work Sunday through Thursdays from 3:00 pm to close.
• Experience with WMS, RF scanner, and basic computer.
• Able to follow detailed instructions and perform repetitive tasks.
• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; stand for 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Help achieve growth on shipments by examining orders for overages/shortages and assisting in cycle counts.
• Inspect deliveries for damage; note findings and advise managers.
• Reconcile and confirm paperwork before releasing product; maintain security.
• Maintain records to comply with regulatory and safety requirements.
• Update inbound/outbound shipment data in WMS (weight, dimensions, photos).
• Organize warehouse floor space and ensure SOPs and MEC policies are followed.
• Receive, load, unload cargo; check paperwork and shipping discrepancies.
• Prepare and palletize cargo; perform data entry and inventory counts.
