Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Loader for night shifts in Solon, OH. The full-time role pays $18.50 per hour, with a Sunday-Thursday schedule starting at 4pm.

The Loader transports items using forklift or pallet jacks and prepares pallets for shipping while following safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include loading trailers, securing loads, maintaining clean work areas, and complying with company procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Must be able to work scheduled times and overtime.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly during shift.
• Able to lift 10–90 pounds and work in multi-temperature environments.
• Post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Transports items to be shipped into the trailer with forklift, pallet jack or by hand in a loading plan.
• Moves outgoing products from staging area to the loading dock with forklift.
• Wraps pallets with cellophane and secures loads; ensures shipping labels are in place.
• Locates trailer slots, places and secures loads.
• Removes empty pallets and packaging to appropriate areas.
• Inspects pallets for damage and moves them to storage as required.
• Keeps warehouse and loading dock clean and adheres to safety policies.
• Puts on required PPE and safety gear; reports unsafe conditions.
• Performs safety checks on equipment and prepares supplies for operations.
• Completes paperwork at end of shift and secures equipment.
