Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse in Wisconsin is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, store, and distribute materials within our facilities. You will read production and shipping orders, move items to storage or production areas, and prepare orders for packing and shipment.

You will weigh or count items, assist in billing, and use our computer system to enter records. A high school diploma or GED is required, and prior warehouse experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience preferred.
• Ability to read production and shipping orders.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and stores materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department and prepare for shipping.
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
• Records amounts of materials received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Uses computer to enter records.
• Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
