Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol Operations) in Matteson, IL. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused site, perform security procedures, and respond to incidents with calm, professional judgment.

Your shift pattern includes evenings and nights, and a valid driver’s license is required for driving posts. A high school diploma is expected, and all applicants undergo background checks and a drug

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, documenting visitor activity and access-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and shift handoff information for Allied Universal and site leadership.
