Job summary

Allied Universal in Swiftwater, PA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol with badge control and driving duties. You will protect clients across healthcare facilities, monitor entrances, conduct patrols, and deliver courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff.

The role requires a minimum of one year of security experience, a valid driver's license, and proven computer or tablet skills.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required per policy.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, laboratories, office areas, parking areas, and property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare environment.
