Job summary

The Simplot Company in Caldwell, Idaho, is seeking a Scheduler to coordinate and dispatch all movements for Simplot Fleet across regions. The role ensures timely product movement and partners with internal production and material schedulers to maintain capacity and service for plants and customers.

A AA degree is typical; 1-2 years related experience with transportation planning, MS Office, and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years related experience and/or training.
• Knowledge of transportation planning and scheduling principles and practices.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to identify complex issues and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Model and prioritize safety at Transportation locations.
• Schedule all assets across all terminals for diverse commodities.
• Create, modify, and reconcile freight orders in the transportation management system.
• Coordinate with non-Company contractors to cover loads as needed.
• Document and elevate driver/contractor performance issues to supervisors.
• Audit daily volumes and record variances to shift schedules.
