Job summary

The J.R. Simplot Company is seeking a Scheduler to coordinate and dispatch all movements for Simplot Fleet across regions.

The role ensures customer product movement needs are met and partners with internal production and material schedulers to maintain capacity and service for plants, warehouses and customers. Prerequisites include an Associate’s Degree and 1–2 years of related experience, knowledge of transportation planning, and proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related experience and/or training.
• Knowledge of transportation planning and scheduling principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and EPA requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch all movements for Simplot Fleet across regions.
• Schedule assets across terminals for a variety of commodities.
• Create, modify, and reconcile freight orders in the transportation system.
• Collaborate with non-Company contractors to cover loads as needed.
• Document and elevate performance issues to supervisors.
• Audit daily volumes and record variances to shift schedules.
