Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical terminology preferred.
• Experience with data entry and order entry programs is required.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn multiple hospital systems.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and patient data handling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives, greets and directs visitors and patients on the unit.
• Provides telemetry monitoring support and notifies nursing staff of rhythm changes.
• Operates and communicates using WestCom paging and fax systems.
• Processes chart orders and documents in the medical record.
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of the nursing station and unit.
• Delivers non-narcotic medications and transports specimens as needed.
