Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a Monitor Technician to support telemetry monitoring and patient safety on the night shift. You will observe monitors, document patterns, and promptly notify nursing staff of abnormalities while maintaining the telemetry logbook.

Qualifications

• Monitor tech experience preferred.
• Must read, write and speak conversational English.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office knowledge.
• Pleasant telephone manner and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with patients/public in difficult situations.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Basic arrhythmias knowledge and competency training.

Responsibilities

• Observe monitors and document normal/abnormal EKG patterns.
• Notify nursing staff of any abnormalities promptly.
• Maintain telemetry logbook and alarm settings per policy.
• Assist in quality improvement activities and training.
• Support department operations and maintain a clean workspace.
