Responsibilities

• Learn products in the department to answer questions and suggest items.
• Recommend grocery items and inform customers of specials.
• Check freshness and expiration dates.
• Label and stock merchandise; ensure fresh products.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Stay informed about ads and promotions.
• Follow food safety regulations.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and logs.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs.
• Notify management of accidents.
• Report safety risks and illegal activity.
• Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
