Job summary

Advocate Health's Sterile Processing Services in Charlotte, NC seeks a Full-time Sterile Processing Technician to support decontamination, prep and packing, steri-lization, and sterile storage with a focus on patient care. The role involves handling instrumentation per IFU, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring proper packaging and labeling for sterile supplies.

Required is a high school diploma or equivalent and CSPDT/CRCST certification within 2 years of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CSPDT or CRCST certification required within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety standards.
• Identifies manual and/or mechanical cleaning according to the manufacturer's IFU for general instrumentation.
• Determines, prepares, and uses supplies required in the assembly process.
• Identifies, inspects, assembles general instruments, checking for cleanliness and functionality using count sheets.
• Packages and labels instrumentation.
• Safely operates sterilization equipment and performs verification and documentation of sterilization process.
• Performs high temperature (steam) and low temperature (gas plasma) sterilization.

Education
