Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor for the night shift (10:30pm–7:00am). The role requires CRCST from HSPA/CBSPD, four years related experience, one year of supervisory responsibility, and CIS or CER with CHL or eligibility within six months of hire.

The candidate will oversee Central Sterile Supply operations, maintain regulatory compliance, manage inventory, and train staff in decontamination, sterilization, and instrument handling across OR, clinic, and ED settings.

Qualifications

• CRCST certification from HSPA or CBSPD is required.
• Minimum 4 years related work experience.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory/managerial experience.
• Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) or Certified Endoscopy Reprocessor (CER) and CHL or eligible within six months.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operations and personnel of Central Sterile Supply.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, Dept. of Health).
• Maintain instrument inventory and asset records.
• Oversee decontamination, cleaning, inspection, processing, and sterilization.
• Provide training on new products, procedures, and case cart prep.
• Coordinate with nursing and medical staff on workflow and safety.
