Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• 2+ years of sterile compounding experience.
• Licensed as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy.
• Pass the PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam or accepted national certification within 90 days from hire.
• Completed competencies in sterile compounding, including hazardous compounding.

Responsibilities

• Work under pharmacist supervision to prepare compounded products.
• Operate in the IV room with high-risk/hazardous compounding.
• Maintain current USP standards, documentation, and EMR workflows.
• Provide supervision to technicians as needed.
• Assist the pharmacist with medication preparation, dispensing, clerical, and billing duties.
• Provide precepting and mentoring to new hires and students.
• Model exactness in sterile technique and procedures.
