Qualifications

• Experience: 12–18 months of related polysomnography experience preferred.
• Certification/Licensure: BRPT or ABSM board certification required; must pass within 18 months if not registered.

Responsibilities

• Gathers materials and sets up equipment for tests.
• Explains test procedures to patients and answers questions.
• Instructs patients on PAP therapy use.
• Prepares patient with electrodes and equipment per AASM standards.
• Calibrates and troubleshoots equipment; monitors patient during testing.
• Scores polygraphic records and summarizes findings for physician review.
• Maintains equipment and supplies; may collect urine samples for lab analysis.
• Assists with training new staff and scheduling patients.
