Job summary

UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is seeking a Sleep Technologist to work night shifts at the Children's Main Campus in Lawrenceville and the North Sleep Lab in Wexford. The role involves preparing for sleep studies, applying electrodes, conducting and scoring studies, and maintaining equipment.

A sign-on bonus of $5,000 accompanies a 2-year commitment, with opportunities to work in both in-center and out-of-center settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of a Polysomnography Program accredited by CAAHEP/CoARC preferred.
• RPSGT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for sleep studies by reviewing patient charts and confirming orders.
• Set up sleep studies including electrode and sensor application per AASM guidelines.
• Conduct sleep studies with emphasis on quality and patient care.
• Analyze and score sleep studies accurately.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and inventory management.
• Ensure scoring competency through monthly AASM ISR requirements.
• Strong understanding of sleep study procedures and equipment.
