Job summary

Banner Payson Medical Center is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist to perform advanced diagnostic sleep monitoring and analyze complex sleep records. You will support clinicians, mentor staff, and contribute to department policies to drive quality outcomes.

The role requires independent testing, home sleep studies, and routine collaboration with nursing and medical teams. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in sleep disorders testing, NBRC/RRT registration, and BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Registry by NBRC or RRT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• 3 years of experience in sleep disorders testing.
• Proficiency with sleep testing equipment and EEG theory.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed diagnostic sleep monitoring studies independently, including home sleep tests.
• Analyze sleep records and quantify sleep stages for clinical interpretation.
• Ensure accurate, artifact-free recordings and troubleshoot equipment.
• Gather pertinent medical history and medications to guide testing.
• Help develop department policies and maintain quality standards.
• Assist with staff training and educational presentations.
• Support leadership with operations and scheduling.
