Responsibilities
- Safely move trailers and containers between yard locations as a company yard driver.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard trucks and trailers.
- Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and standards.
- Detect, eliminate, or minimize safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate records and logs.
- Understand DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection, maintenance, and transportation of materials.
Qualifications
- Pass a background check and motor vehicle check, including drug (including marijuana) and alcohol screening.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations.
- No major chargeable accidents.
- Possess a valid Class A CDL.
