BAYS, Inc. is seeking a Youth Screening Specialist for a 6pm–6am shift at a Sarasota facility. You will conduct initial screening of youth to determine detention status and address mental health or substance risk factors, with recommendations for services or court handling.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and two years of youth-related experience, plus a valid Florida driver’s license and auto insurance. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered, paid in installments after milestones.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two (2) years of experience working with youth required
• Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s license and Auto Insurance.

Responsabilidades

• Reviews law enforcement paperwork and criminal history records.
• Acts as a resource to families, outside agencies and staff; answers telephones.
• Maintains accurate records, to include youth files, screening packets, and JJIS documentation.
• Communicates with youth’s parents/guardians, DJJ and/or DCF staff, and law enforcement to ensure processing of youth.
• Attends court hearings as needed to present detention risk assessment findings.
• Provides crisis intervention to de-escalate immediate conflict situations.
