Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking an associate welder to lay out, align, and weld metal components used in utility poles and engineered structures in Jasper, Tennessee. Reading blueprints and performing precise welds are essential, along with safety and quality standards.

Shifts run Monday–Thursday 8 PM–6:15 AM and Friday–Sunday 6 PM–6:15 AM. You will use hand tools and measuring devices, operate cranes and plasma cutting equipment, and contribute to production goals while maintaining a strong

Qualifications

• Must pass 1G weld test and read blueprints for accurate product fit-up.
• Strong math and measurement skills are required.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Able to work with others to meet deadlines.
• Industrial welding experience preferred (0-3 years).

Responsibilities

• Lay out, align, and weld metal components for utility poles and engineered structures.
• Read blueprints and fit components for welding.
• Perform structural welding following safety standards.
• Use hand tools and measuring devices for precision.
• Maintain accuracy and efficiency to meet production deadlines.
• Operate overhead cranes and plasma cutting equipment.
• Adhere to PPE requirements and company safety policies.
• Prepare components for welding by fitting together in ready-to-weld condition.
