Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a motivated production welder to join our Fortify Building Solutions team in Tennessee. The role involves MIG welding on structural steel, reading blueprints, and ensuring bead quality in a fast-paced production environment.

This full-time position offers a comprehensive benefits package, PTO from day one, overtime, and mentorship to grow with the company. Night shift pay is $25 per hour with a $1 shift differential; schedule runs 4:30 pm–5:00 am.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of welding in a production environment or a welding certification.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings.
• Willingness to obtain CWB/AWS welding certifications.
• Experience with forklifts or overhead cranes is a plus.
• Works well in a team and meets deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate welder settings, gun speed/travel and gas flow with bead quality.
• Read tapes and blueprints to shop standards.
• Operate overhead crane and other lifting equipment.
• Maintain bead shape, size and penetration per spec.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in the work area.
