Job summary

Dal-Tile, a division of Mohawk Industries, is seeking a Quartz – Technician for water treatment on a night shift. Perform routine water quality testing, monitor chemical usage, operate water systems, and maintain equipment to ensure a continuous supply of treated water.

Qualifications

• Perform routine water quality testing for parameters such as pH and turbidity.
• Monitor and adjust chemical amounts to ensure proper chemical use.
• Use forklift to move and replace empty chemical containers.
• Maintain and repair water treatment equipment and distribution infrastructure.
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain records of water quality data and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine water quality testing for parameters such as pH, and turbidity, to ensure compliance with plant standards.
• Monitor and adjust chemical amounts to ensure proper chemical use.
• Use safe handling procedures to move and replace empty chemical containers using a forklift.
• Maintain, and conduct minor repairs on water treatment equipment and distribution infrastructure to ensure a continuous supply of water.
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain records of water quality data, equipment maintenance schedules, and any corrective actions taken to address system deficiencies.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Work with shift leaders to ensure water quality and volume meets their needs.
• Communicate daily with management on water treatment conditions.
• Respond to and troubleshoot water quality deficiencies, help develop plans and Standard Operating Procedures to prevent deficiencies in the future.
• Climb ladders to access top of tanks to inspect water conditions and chemical delivery systems.
• Monitor and use computer interfaces to operate water systems.
