Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Manager – Operations in Chicago to lead a diverse team across a distribution center. You will ensure on-time order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and inventory control, while coordinating with Sales and other support functions to meet customer expectations.

You will manage a location with potential LEAN initiatives, drive cost efficiency, and develop annual budgets. Strong leadership, communication, and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of operations experience in distribution/warehouse settings.
• Experience leading a team of individual contributors or support staff.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-time order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
• Lead location management across WMS and value-added services.
• Ensure safe, secure, inclusive workplace and coaching of staff.
• Hire, train, and manage performance of employees.
• Ensure policy compliance, internal controls, and ISO standards.
• Manage P&L and drive Lean improvements.
• Coordinate with Sales and other support departments.
• Develop annual budgets for the facility.
