Job summary

Piggly Wiggly Alabama Distributing Company seeks a full-time warehouse supervisor at our Bessemer, AL facility. You will oversee a team of order selectors, forklift drivers and loaders, ensuring accurate shipments to stores and adherence to safety standards.

Shift is 6pm–2:30am, Sunday through Friday, in ambient, refrigerated and frozen zones. You will staff the dock, coordinate with other supervisors and managers, address performance issues and maintain proper shipping records to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Lead a team of order selectors, forklift drivers and loaders.
• Maintain safe, compliant warehouse operations.
• Ensure shipments are accurate and on-time.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to your team.
• Ensure your dock area is fully staffed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and training.
• Supervise hourly team members to meet quantity and quality standards.
• Using the shift work plan manage your operation to ensure that all shipments are accurate and verified and that trailers are correctly loaded, on-time.
• Create accurate shipping records.
• Identify and solve problems with the order process, truck loading, order picking technology, etc.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other shipping supervisors and managers.
• Appropriately address employee performance, conduct and attendance issues.
