Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the Clayton Distribution Center in Clayton, OH. You will support parts flow from distribution centers to customers, handling warehousing tasks across receiving, storage, and shipping, with opportunities to operate order-pickers, reach trucks, and forklifts.

Qualifications

• Safety mindset and PPE procedures.
• Experience showing at least 12 months in prior roles.
• Experience operating cherry/order picker, reach truck, and/or sit-down forklift.
• Strong teamwork and time-management abilities.
• Willingness to adapt to temperature changes and overtime.
• Clear communication and learning mindset.
• Ability to read, write and conduct business in English.
• Attention to quality and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform material handling and warehousing tasks for receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts and supplies.
• Operate handheld scanner to access and update information for receiving and order processing.
• Be trained to operate cherry/order picker, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and overhead cranes/hoists.
• Report defects and the need for repairs.
• Construct wooden shipping containers and apply paint and rust preventative.
• Perform housekeeping duties as required.
• Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management.
