Job summary

NY Creates is seeking a Facilities UPW/WWT Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and operational support for Ultra-Pure Water and Wastewater Treatment systems to ensure purity and facility performance. The role requires independent work with team collaboration and use of MS Office/CMMS tools.

The night shift runs Sunday–Tuesday with every other Saturday, 7pm–7:30am, and may include overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years' mechanical maintenance experience or equivalent technical training.
• Associate's degree in engineering preferred with relevant UPW/WWT operations knowledge.
• Experience reading blueprints/diagrams and maintaining detailed records.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and operational support for UPW and WWT systems.
• Develop and follow start-up, shut-down, and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Provide reliable service and customer support; work independently and in a team.
• Utilize MS Office and CMMS programs; maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Adhere to safety procedures; wear respirator as required; potential overtime.
