Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Foot Patrol in Bartow, FL. The role involves safeguarding clients across industries at a chemical and petrochemical location, patrolling, and maintaining a visible security presence to deter incidents.

The position requires 1+ year of security experience, a high school diploma, and completion of background checks and drug screening where permitted. A guard card is preferred and a valid driver’s license is required for driving roles.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following site protocols and informing appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, areas, parking, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain security logs and incident reports.
• Observe site conditions during patrols, report hazards and damaged equipment, and follow PPE requirements.
