Job summary

Fort Bend County in Texas is seeking an insecticide applicator to protect communities by applying ULV treatments at night and recording data in monitoring systems. The role requires a high school diploma, a valid Texas driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a Noncommercial Political Pesticide Applicator License within 2 months; teamwork and independent work are important.

As part of the Division, you may assist with special projects, maintenance duties, and emergency management activities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
• Must obtain Noncommercial Political Pesticide Applicator License within 2 months.
• Ability to work nights and drive truck-mounted ULV spray equipment.
• Strong communication and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Applies insecticides using truck-mounted ULV equipment at night.
• Enters data into the ULV monitoring systems.
• Monitors environmental and mechanical conditions during applications.
• Assists with special projects and cross-trains with peers.
• Maintains and services application equipment as needed.
• Participates in emergency management duties during a local state of disaster.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
